Aligarh Public School was established in 1967 at Manga (Lahore) by Tehzibul Akhlaq Trust Lahore, conceived & created by a group of old boys of the Aligarh Muslim University and some other eminent scholars of the county with the primary aim of Preservation and promotion of Islamic values through opening educational institutions on the line of Aligarh Muslim University, a unique Islamic progressive educational model designed by one of the great scholars of the sub continent, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
The school is recognized by the government and follows the syllabi prescribed by the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Lahore. However, appropriate additional curriculum pertaining to the study of Holy Quran and functional English, ( emphasis on spoken English skill ) has been separately designed and adjusted in routine time table of the institution.
Provision of standard of education and training to the students of Aligarh Public School & College for the qualification of Secondary School Certificate, also ensuring their all round development as per true Islamic Values and national aspirations, so as to mould them as really useful and successful citizens for serving the county and the nation. The existing Manga Project is, in fact, the foundation stone for the proposed New Aligarh University for which the vast area of Manga Campus is an ideal location. The Master plan of the Campus has already been prepared and soon after availability of funds, INSHA ALLAH, the construction work will start. The old student of this school (or of any institution run by the trust) and their children, of course, have the first priority for admission to any department of the proposed University.
